At Abelmann & Associates, we offer consulting and coaching services focused on leaders, educational institutions, ed tech enterprises, and school systems. We help individuals and organizations achieve their objectives by providing guidance as an ICF and BCC accredited executive coach. We take pleasure in assisting education startup leaders, those embarking on new roles, or considering career shifts. Additionally, we aid young people and families in navigating educational and college options. As a documentary filmmaker and producer, we emphasize sharing powerful stories that foster knowledge, understanding, and growth. We collaborate with skilled coaches and consultants tailored to the requirements of each project.

Experience: I have experience in education research, policy and practice as well as in coaching a range of leaders addressing goals they set.  I managed international education development projects for the World Bank and also managed the Bank programs on leadership and organizational effectiveness including the executive coaching practice.  I have over 10 years of experience leading private independent schools as Director and Head of School, including at the Laboratory Schools at the University of Chicago where I also was a lecturer teaching undergraduates.  I contributed to DC Public education as a school principal and as a special assistant to the superintendent.  My experience and ability to work both at the classroom, school and district level as well as with Ministry of Education officials allows me to support instructional improvements and organizational effectiveness.  I am a strong advocate for making schools work for all students and using data to inform planning and evaluate programming. I enjoy working with education startups to help them grow and impact learning and social emotional well being. I most recently directed and produced the award winning film English Hustle, a documentary following the online English teaching industry in China.  More information on the film can be found here.
